Registration Fee Bursaries
An initial partial registration fee waiver, covering 70% of the registration fees, was available to a limited number of applicants who had a genuine need for support. Priority was given for applicants with an accepted submission, and the submission quality was taken into consideration. Applications were open between March 22nd and March 26th.
A second, limited set of registration fee bursaries were made available exclusively to Brazilian students via financial support with public funds from FAPERGS, the Brazilian research support agency. Selected students were granted a 70% reduction in fees, for both new registrations and previous ones. Applications were available between April 26th and April 30th.
Both sets fully complied with the NIME Conference Diversity Statement, reserving 50% of the funds for women. Questions can be mailed to grant@nime2019.org.
